It’s one of the finest ways to spend a Sunday in the Gaillac country. Several times a year, Château Lastours, in Lisle-sur-Tarn, opens its gardens for a brunch with music: a generous buffet — fresh dishes, sweet and savoury — a band playing live, and the estate’s open air, from 11am to 4pm (brunch served until 2pm).
The season has a few special editions: the harvest brunch in September, with hand-picking and a tour of the fermenting cellars; the open-house brunch in November, served among the vats; and even a yoga brunch in December to round off the year gently. On stage, the Sundays bring Deepness, Sweetie Swing or Tin Roof.
Worth knowing: it’s by reservation (online or by phone), and places go fast in fine weather. Reckon on €35 to €60 depending on the formula, €15 for children. The full programme is below.
