Le Petit Balcon Bleu

9.6 · 23 reviews

A 73 m² apartment with exposed beams and views of the Tarn and the Rabastens bridge. On the second floor of a village house — bright, spacious and fully equipped.

Le Petit Balcon Bleu occupies the second floor of a village house in Rabastens, on the right bank of the Tarn. Seventy-three square metres under the beams, with a direct view of the river and the medieval bridge — the kind of address you find by chance and keep to yourself.

The apartment is designed for living, not just sleeping. The kitchen is complete — induction hob, oven, dishwasher, Nespresso — and a separate laundry room provides a washing machine and tumble dryer. The living room is open and bright, with a sofa and a table for lunch overlooking the Tarn. The bedroom faces the same view.

Rabastens is thirty minutes from Toulouse and twenty from Gaillac, but well off the standard tourist trail. The Notre-Dame du Bourg church, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is worth the detour on its own. The market runs on Saturday mornings, and the Tarn riverbanks invite an evening stroll.

What we love.

The viewFrom the living room or the bedroom, you see the Tarn, the medieval bridge and the rooftops of Rabastens. In the evening, it is spectacular.
The beamsHigh ceiling, exposed timber, light coming in from both sides. You would think you were in an artist's studio, not a holiday rental.
The kitchenInduction hob, oven, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster. You can cook properly, not just reheat.
RabastensA medieval village thirty minutes from Toulouse, little known and authentic. The Notre-Dame du Bourg church is UNESCO-listed.
