Sweet Home Cornelia
A guest house in a centuries-old stone building in the heart of Bruniquel. Five suites, breakfast included, wellness treatments and a café opening onto the medieval village.
Sweet Home Cornelia occupies a stone house on the main street of Bruniquel — the medieval village perched above the Aveyron gorges, on the border of the Tarn and Tarn-et-Garonne. Five suites, all different, spread through a centuries-old building restored with a marked taste for raw materials and salvaged furniture.
The rooms range from 18 to 27 square metres, with exposed stone walls, quality bedding and private bathrooms. The “Entre amis” suite, larger still, sleeps up to six — rare in a village guest house. Breakfast is included and served each morning on the ground floor: homemade jams, fresh bread, local produce.
Cornelia also runs a café open to passers-by and offers massages by appointment — reiki, shiatsu, moments of recovery after a hike in the gorges. Bruniquel is ten minutes from the Hostellerie des Gorges de l’Aveyron and thirty-five from Gaillac. No private parking, but village parking is free and never a problem.
What we love.
