Le Gîte d'Olympe

9.1 · 170 reviews

Two charming studios on the second floor of a medieval building in the heart of Cordes-sur-Ciel. Period parquet, Halle views, and the hilltop village on foot.

Le Gîte d’Olympe occupies the second floor of a medieval building on Grand Rue Raymond VII — the main street of the upper town of Cordes-sur-Ciel. Two independent studios, BW and Jaune, 28 to 32 square metres each, fully renovated while keeping the original proportions: beams, period parquet, thick stone walls.

You enter at number 43, climb two flights — no lift, period staircase — and arrive in a compact but well-designed space. Kitchenette with oven, microwave and coffee maker, bathroom with shower, living area with television. The yellow studio has the better view: the Halle square and its Gothic arcades.

The address is ideal for exploring Cordes on foot. You are in the centre of the hilltop village, three minutes from the Halle, the Porte des Ormeaux, and the Chocolate Museum. Free parking is down below — cars do not drive up into the upper town. A contained price for an unbeatable location.

What we love.

The locationGrand Rue Raymond VII, in the middle of the upper town. Step out and you are in Cordes. No car needed once parked.
The parquetOld floorboards that creak underfoot — real medieval, not decoration.
The viewThe yellow studio overlooks the Halle square. You can watch the summer markets from the window.
The priceAround €80 a night to sleep in a listed building in the heart of one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France. Hard to beat.
