Chambre Griffoul
A simple guest room in the very centre of Gaillac, on Rue Saint-Pierre, steps from the Place du Griffoul that gives it its name. Private room, your own bathroom, shared kitchen — and the Abbey of Saint-Michel at the end of the street.
Chambre Griffoul takes its name from the square that is the soul of Gaillac — the Place du Griffoul and its fountain, a hundred metres away. The room itself is on Rue Saint-Pierre, alongside the church: a no-frills guest room right in the town centre.
The spirit is simple and clean: a wooden bed, a private bathroom dressed in cement tiles, a shared kitchen for a coffee or a light dinner. No breakfast, no reception — you arrive on your own, a local property manager handles the keys. One thing to note: payment is cash only. It is one of the best-placed guest rooms in the Gaillac area for the price.
From the door, the Abbey of Saint-Michel is at the end of the street, the Friday market five minutes away, the banks of the Tarn seven. For a short stop or a night in town before heading into the vineyard, it is central and efficient — provided you are happy with the bare essentials, well kept.
What we love.
