Hôtel L'Occitan
A small Logis hotel thirty metres from Gaillac station, run by Dimitri and Laurie since 2024. Eleven renovated rooms, free parking, and the town centre on foot.
L’Occitan is the kind of hotel you are glad to find. Not a palace, not a concept — a clean, well-placed two-star Logis run by people who pay attention. It sits on Avenue Clémenceau, thirty metres from Gaillac station, which makes it the most practical base for anyone arriving by train from Toulouse (one hour, direct).
Dimitri and Laurie took over in June 2024 and have been renovating rooms one by one. Wooden floors, new bedding, considered decoration without overdoing it. Eleven rooms in total — the “Comfort+” are the most spacious, with a desk area and a refurbished bathroom. The walls are thick and the windows double-glazed: the station is next door, but you would not know it.
Breakfast is served in a handsome vaulted room, with pastries from the local baker, regional jams and fresh juice. Beyond that, the hotel has no restaurant — but the centre of Gaillac is ten minutes on foot, and Dimitri always has a suggestion ready.
What we love.
