Le Violet
Two air-conditioned guest rooms in a house on Route de Saurs in Gaillac. Pool, garden, an Irish-Tarn homemade breakfast, and 278 Booking reviews that leave no doubt.
Route de Saurs, on the southern edge of Gaillac — Tim and Sandrine welcome guests in two rooms fitted out in their house. Tim is Irish, Sandrine is from Gaillac, and breakfast reflects both: homemade Irish bread, garden jams, pastries, market produce.
Two rooms — La Violette with shower, La Rouge with bathtub — each air-conditioned, with a 160-wide bed, private bathroom and flat-screen TV. Everything is clean, well kept, no frills but no gaps. The above-ground pool in the enclosed garden does the job in summer, and the kitchenette with fridge, oven and microwave lets you make dinner without going out.
With 278 reviews and a 9.1 rating, Le Violet is one of the most-reviewed B&Bs in the Tarn. It is not the most spectacular — no wine estate, no infinity pool — but it is the most consistent. Guests come back, recommend, and are not disappointed. Central Gaillac is five minutes away by car, wine estates within reach in every direction.
What we love.
